Since 2014, Black Lives Matter has been using short form videos on Vine, Instagram, and Periscope to display different grievances, sousveillance, or demands of the American police force. Often these video shorts featured members of Black Lives Matter or it’s partner organizations describing the situation in the communities they were active in, but occasionally featured visceral short videos of grievances or experiences with police officers as explanations for their movement.
